How to moisturise your skin: A guide to body care moisturisers

Body Care moisturisers

In the beauty industry, we don't tend to focus on taking care of the skin on our body. With so many creams and lotions available for our faces, making the right decision for all-over body moisturisers can be overwhelming.

We believe that the skin on your body is as essential as the skin on your face. Living in a temperate climate, our skin can become very dry throughout summer and winter. Why not simplify your body care routine using natural products that nourish and hydrate?

While we highly recommend and sell vegan nourishing soap bars, we also offer two other key products that are the perfect answer to thirsty, dry, and mature skin. Moreover, they contain 100% natural ingredients, ensuring you use the best for your skin.

Whipped Shea Butter:

Our whipped Shea butter is an excellent choice for moisturising your skin. It contains vitamins and essential fatty acids that improve skin elasticity and rejuvenate collagen.

Shea butter helps diminish stretch marks, wrinkles, and sun damage while promoting brighter and healthier skin. When you experience itchy, dry, and flaky skin, using our rich shea butter moisturiser after a bath or shower will leave it feeling supple, smooth and intensely hydrated. You only need a small amount; apply to an area and massage well into the skin.

Shea Butter Benefits:

This wonderful nut butter is beneficial for dehydrated and sensitive skin if used daily, making it ideal for all-over body use. Regularly using Shea butter has many benefits, such as boosting skin moisture and providing anti-inflammatory properties that soothe the skin.

Shea butter is also known for gently helping minor cuts and scratches. It protects the skin from air pollution and, due to its antioxidants, contains anti-ageing properties. Additionally, it improves skin elasticity.

Shea Butter vs. Cocoa Butter:

While both Shea and Cocoa butter are excellent skin moisturisers and emollients that prevent water from evaporating from the skin, Shea butter contains more fatty acids and vitamins E and A. Its collagen-boosting properties provide you with plump-looking skin.

Shea butter products are excellent moisturisers for the face, lips, and body. Many personal care products, including hair conditioners, also contain Shea butter for its superb moisturising effects.

This body butter is rich in plant oils, so applying it to acne-prone skin is not advisable.

Marula Facial Oil:

We launched our Marula facial oil serum almost five years ago and love this premium skincare product. It's rich in fatty acids, which help soothe and hydrate the skin.

This natural oil is perfect for dry skin. It's hydrating but does not leave a greasy residue. This oil balances the effects of dryness and ageing and boosts skin strength.

Mature skin can appear fragile - Marula oil increases skin suppleness, which can help protect the skin from harmful solar rays.

While our Marula facial oil is fantastic for hydrating your face, it can also be applied to extremely dry areas of the body. You will notice a real difference—apply it to your elbows, knees, and neck for intense moisturisation.

Lemongrass Body Oil:

We launched this body oil earlier this year and trialled it on family and friends. This unique and powerful moisturising body oil, enriched with hydration, firming, and tightening benefits, is packed with proven botanicals and Squalane. It provides intense hydration and suits all skin types.

Thanks to their antioxidant content, Sweet Almond oil, Apricot kernel oil, Sunflower seed oil, and Hazelnut oil have moisturising, skin-restoring, and anti-ageing properties. The ingredients in our body oil boost moisture to dry, ageing, and crepey skin on the body, arms, and legs.
